Built in 2012, the cabin originally served as both a family retreat and temporary living space while the main house was under construction. Over the years, it evolved into a guest cabin and, in 2024, was transformed into a sewing studio.
With support from the Government of Yukon and Small Economy Works, renovations began in 2026 in two phases. The first phase focused on updating the interior to create a welcoming retail area and a more functional workspace. The second phase, planned for completion in June 2026, will enclose the deck to provide additional seasonal retail space.
